Checks Etc. is a privately owned corporation
operating in the Commonwealth of Kentucky.
The 1st store was opened at the Fairview
Plaza Shopping Center in 1992. A second
store was opened in October 1996 at the
Sugar Maple Shopping Center and a third in
May 2000 at the Western Gateway Shopping
Center. The 4th store, located at 1910
Scottsville Rd. was opened in December
2002. The 5th and newest store opened
June 2005 in Owensboro.
As the number of store locations has increased, the variety of
services has expanded. From its beginning as strictly a check
cashing service, Checks Etc. is now a financial center with
services ranging from notary services to credit cards. While
being careful not to our lose our core values, we look forward
to future developments and expansions as opportunities present
themselves.
unique to Checks Etc. is the pictorial display at each store
location. The photographs consist of entertainers, sports
figures, and musicians who mean something special to the
company. Several of the photos depict events which have been
sponsored by Checks Etc. The company continues to have an
interest in community/special events and will offer support in
the future to programs which are of particular interest to the
Company.
